Which lender has most experience with Harp 2? or does it matter?

Our situation is a bit unique in that we have already used HARP in 2010 but want to use again. We need someone with good experience to help us. From what I read on this site, this might not be possbie? by SonyaH_913_593 from Victorville, California. Mar 23rd 2012 Reply

The official launch of the two desktop underwriting programs to qualify borrowers on the HARP2 programwere just launched officially Monday, March 19. As a national mortgage direct lender we have beengetting documents since November from borrowers for this program and have been well versed on HARP2.We have been inputting these loans as of this week. No one else was able to do so until this week as wellthough the loan might have already been processed. Thus, it is this week they can be underwritten andeventually fund. The bank guidelines for HARP 2.0 have barely rolled out this month. Previously, the 1st HARP was almost identical except for the Loan to Value exception. You loan needs to be originated prior to June 1st 2009 to be eligible for Harp 2. If you already did the First Harp the origination date my be an issue.Do you know what your existing Loan to Value is?

I'm sorry to tell you, you have been eliminated. Once a borrower takes advantage of HARP, they are not able to re-do that loan again. Sorry. Now, if you are looking at using HARP 2.0 on a different property, that's a different story. ~ Bert Carpenter, The LoansA2z team of NOVA Home Loans ~ NMLS 40586 ~ www.LoansA2z.com
