What are USDA home loan qualifications?

My family has grown bigger in the past few years and we need to look for a larger home. The good news is we fall smack into the income eligibility range for our family size. I am looking at a modular home built on a piece of land but that would take time and we need a place to live while waiting. We own the home we currently live in and I want to know if I can be approved for a USDA loan? I plan to sell our current home when the new one is ready to move in. by bradl909 from Crystal Springs, Florida. Jan 19th 2022 Reply

With a USDA loan you can only own one home at a time. As long as you sell the home before closing on the new home you will be fine. I lend in CA, FL, IL, GA, NC, SC, & TN for residential loans, and lend throughout the country for commercial loans. We can go down to 500 scores for VA & FHA. Barclay Butler.
