Should I refinance now? Or wait? It looks like rates are going up. Is this normal for end of year?

Refinance now. Tomorrow is guaranteed to no one. Rates can edge up at year end as mortgage markets collectively know the demand for loan closings by year end increases willingness to pay a higher rate. But, with inflation on the horizon, and the federal reserve needing to save face by raising rates, it is likely that rates will increase slightly next year.Dave Van WaldickCEO/Developer, www.ePrequal.com

No one has a crystal ball, so it's impossible to predict exactly what will happen, but in general, when rates improve, it happens slowly and over a long period of time.. but when rates go bad, it does it very quickly, and over a short period of time.. The likelihood of you getting a possible 1/8th better rate is at the risk of paying 1/4 to 1/2 or more.. so you are definitely better off doing it now then waiting.. We subscribe to several services which tell us what the "Trend" of rate direction is.. the general consensus is that rates are more than likely to go up, and they say the Presidential decision also will have an impact..they say If Hillary wins, then rates are likely to stay the same or go lower since the analysts say the economy will likely be stagnant under her admin, but if Trump wins, then its likely rates will go up as the economy improves.. My advise.. refinance now, lock in your rate as soon as you can and don't look back.. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. William J. Hello the longer you wait the worse the rates will get. They were at their lowest point a year or so ago so if you waited past that time which it sounds like you did then you waited too long so it will not matter now so best to do it now not later.

I would refinance now the longer you wait the more you're going to get hurt.
