Investment or home loan?

My current home is being used as a rental property and now that I am back from several years overseas I will be moving back into it in 90 days once the renters are out. Can I refinance it as a primary home now or must I wait until the end of September to apply? by jw_789_861 from Atlanta, Georgia. Jun 17th 2012 Reply

You will have to move back into the property, have your driver's license reflect the new address and have a utility bill to support that you actually live there... once you do that, you should be able to refinance as your primary.. to be sure, you should contact a LOCAL mortgage broker, not the local "Big" bank, and certainly not one of those 50 states internet lenders...By applying with your LOCAL Broker, you have an advantage because he's familiar with local customs and works with numerous lenders, seeking out the best loan terms for your particular scenario. Because he has lower overhead, he can offer you lower rates and lower fees than most of the larger lenders. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. 480-287-5714 WilliamAcres.com

when was the house purchased??? how was the loan taken out ?? if you purchased as a primary, and then rented out , you can go back to the home as a primary, if you can document when you were not there being overseas, and if you claimed it on your taxes as a rental or not..
