I am currently at the tail end of my divorce. I was under the impression that I would only pay out 150,000 to my ex...now this loan mod

Now I find I am totally responsible for both the existing loan, my personal expenses and paying him 150,000. I have been looking for a loan to reach that goal, but my net income does not allow me to be able to just meet the minimum payment. If I go ahead and sign for the loan, I will lose the family home within a few months. I am hoping you have some suggestions to help me relook at my situation and qualify for a modified loan. by christinekulich from , . Aug 7th 2009 Reply

A divorce is certainly a hardship and the fact that you cannot afford the payment makes you a great candidate. Have you attempted to contact you lender directly yet?
