Looking for homes in Southaven,Ms and want to get financing after chapter 13 discharge. by jerryfischer9214143 from Memphis, Tennessee. Jun 21st 2014
Hi Jerry, getting a mortgage loan following the discharge of the Chapter 13 Bankruptcy is possible. The BK would definitely make things a little more challenging though. I'm located in Hernando, MS. If you need some help, just let me know.
Hi Jerry, for a conventional loan you will need two years from the discharge date and 4 years from dismissal. Since you are discharged you can go FHA or VA and you will need 1 year from completion for USDA. You will then need to get pre-approved, so I would contact a local loan officer have them do a full loan application with credit and review all of your options with you. If you need a good loan officer you can look in the top right corner of this website under the Community tab and click Find a Lender, from there you can find a qualified local loan officer. Best wishes, Sean
