You can use Lender411 as a start. You can also do a search through Google, Yahoo or Ask.com, etc. You can also check with your State's Department of Financial Institutions to find licensed lenders. I always recommend using a Licensed Mortgage Banker or Mortgage Broker rather than one of the banks. Why? Because a Mortgage Broker/Banker is Trained, Tested and Licensed in all aspects of Mortgage Origination. A bank employee is not required to be licensed.
