Your lender should be doing it for you if it will indeed affect the final value. In some cases - they will not if the error will not change the value.Gary Ardesson928-302-5156Mohave State BankLake Havasu City, AZ

Your lender has a quality control process where the appraisal is underwritten and checked for errors... But this is only in regards to lender specific requirements.. if you feel there is a discrepancy in the valuation, there is a formal process to dispute it.. but you need to have additional supporting comparable properties to do so.. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. William J. Speak to your loan officer who is handling your loan and he or she should guide on the process that may be available to you. They would have a value dispute process if that is the concern.

It may sound weird, but it isn't "your" appraisal. It is the lenders appraisal. If you have any issues, contact your Loan Officer. Next, most homeowners don't fully understand reading the appraisal. I take calls what seems like every week where someone is complaining about an error on the report, when in fact, it isn't an error at all.
