IT is possible to pay of your mortgage using your 401K, however there may be penalties and a loss of tax benefits as a result of using the 401K. I highly advise and encourage that you consult with your accountant or financial planner to help you and guide you in taking the proper steps, so that you would not suffer any financial losses as a result.

Your 401K was intended for your retirement. .. I would not touch that at all.If your 401K is earning similar to mine you are earning more than 4.5% per year. ... Why put money into a depreciating asset. This will be the case for the next several years. ... Might be better to refinance into a lower rate.
