David grew up in Kalamazoo, MI. After graduating high school, David attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He holds a BA in Economics and a minor in Psychology and graduated with honors. David is a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity, along with many well-known individuals (David Letterman, Brad Pitt, Woody Harrelson, John Wayne, Tom Selleck and many more).

With the advice of a friend and colleague, David moved to Minneapolis in September 2002. He started in the mortgage business as a telemarketer and quickly rose through the ranks. By February 2003, he became one of the company's top producing loan officers. In March 2004, David left the company and helped open a new mortgage company, Greenacres Mortgage. By March 2005, he was promoted to Branch Manager, and ran their northern Minnesota operations to record profits. David has been in charge of over $500 million in loan originations and that number is still rapidly increasing.

David opened Satori Mortgage in October 2005 at the height of the boom and pre to the crash. Weathering the storm with consistent, strategic applications, David has taken Satori Mortgage from a simple, "Mom & Pop" shop to a leading producer in the Minnesota and Florida territory. David's vision will take the company's footprint into several additional states by the end of 2016, as well as grow their staff exponentially along the way. Collectively, the staff at Satori Mortgage has over 100 years of experience in the mortgage business and has originated over $2 billion in total loan volume.
