You can do jumbo financing however your VA guarantee only covers the first $417K.. so you would not be able to do a jumbo with no money down.. how much down payment you need depends on many factors, so it's best to contact a local mortgage broker, sit down with them and let them look at your target price range.. from there they can put together a closing cost / down payment scenario.. Yes, VA jumbo will give you 100% up to your County Loan limit then you would be responsible for 25% of the difference between the max county loan limit and the purchase price.

William's answer is not correct, there are not many factors only one whats the purchase price and what is the VA county loan limit......... Sean however is on the right track........ You can go to 100% of your county limit on a VA loan these limits are set by the VA.... above that you will need 25% of the amount over the VA county loan limit...........
