More info needed, but in general.. some people confuse the word "Modification" and "refinance".. if you are doing a straight up, true loan modification, then the answer is yes.. the lender could remove a co-borrower, but it's highly unlikely they would. Remember, a loan modification is where the lender is agreeing to alter the original terms of your mortgage to benefit YOU!.. if the loan goes bad, they want to try to collect their losses from all that were involved.. including co-borrowers. However, if you are refinancing and you can qualify without the co-borrower, then you can remove the co-borrower.. this is done all the time. I'm a preferred Lender with California and Arizona being my primary markets. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. 480-287-5714 WilliamAcres.com NMLS# 226347 / RPM Mortgage NMLS 1541014 / AZMB0121893
