How long does it take for your new mortgage to appear on your credit report?

Mine still hasn't appeared, reading stories of it taking over a year. I am expecting it to better my score so I am wondering when it typically shows. by cjade86641 from Wallace, South Dakota. May 18th 2017 Reply

Typically, it will show up within 90 to 120 days.. It can take 45 to 60 days to set up your new account in the lenders servicing system.. and then once it's set up.. most lenders will report to the credit bureaus on a monthly basis.. Regardless.. taking on new credit will typically lower your score. .even new mortgage credit.. but once you start making payments, it should bounce right back up.. I'm a preferred Lender with Arizona and California being my primary markets. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. 480-287-5714 WilliamAcres.com NMLS# 226347 / RPM Mortgage NMLS 1541014 / AZMB0121893

Most new debt shows up on credit reports within about 60-days. It may take a bit longer for mortgages because of the behind the scene process of initial set up. Also, while most do, not every lender reports to all three credit bureaus.
