How can I show rental history if I am currently living with parents? I am paying them rent every month.

Do you pay them with a check or bank transfer? If you pay them with a check you can show 12 months cleared checks. If you pay with bank transfers you can show bank statements for 12 months. If you pay cash you can try a letter from your parents saying you pay $xxx.00 each month. That might work. It depends on the type of home loan you are doing. Peter,As Linda mentioned, if you can provide cancelled checks/bank transfers for a 12 month period, and the amount is the same each month, and the date of payment is also consistent, you would be fine. 12 months canceled checks, 12 months bank statements showing transfer, or 12 months cash withdrawals equal to what you are paying in rent.. Realistically, this is only asked for when the borrower has some credit issues.. so it's possible even if none of the above verification will work, then you still might be approved..
