Ive looked into state programs through OHFA for the down payment assistance but my credit is 635 and they require 640. Is there anything I can do to get my credit up to speed within a few months or maybe they can make an acception? by brascopaul733118 from Dillonvale, Ohio. Nov 17th 2014
Yes, I would suggest having your credit pulled by an experienced loan officer. They can review the credit report with you to see if there are any inaccuracies, accounts you can pay down, or any other things you can do that will increase your credit scores quickly. Feel free to call me at 440-953-0447 #15 with any questions. Mike Zuren
Brascopaul, Mike is giving you the correct advice. I am also a loan office in Ohio. Give one of us a call. My phone number is 216-324-8113. You can find my other contact information and license numbers on my profile page
Hi, it all depends on what appears on your credit report. If there isn't anything derogatory, it could be as simple as paying down a credit card. ? You can check your credit now thru creditkarma with a soft inquiry. Otherwise, no exceptions with the score requirement to qualify for OHFA . I'd be happy to answer any add'l questions you may have.
