Looking to purchase a house - PA - 599 middle FICO

My wife and I are looking to purchase a house in PA. middle score 599. wonder if I can get FHA mortgage or do i need to be at 620. no lateness withing last 12 months. by yankor_491_415 from Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Nov 12th 2012 Reply

I would suggest looking into a lender who does USDA Rural housing loans, depending on the area in PA you maybe able to utilize their loan programs.scott@mortgage-me.usif you have any further questions.

620 would the be the bare minimum score for just about anything you would want to do. I've seen a lot of lenders actually require 640. Obviously the higher it is the better. It would also depend on why the score was 599 as opposed to 640. Without knowing any more detailed information, that's all I can answer.
