The best advice I can give you is to contact a LOCAL mortgage broker who specializes in reverse mortgages, and apply with them. They should be able to look at your scenario and determine if you and your property would be eligible for this type of loan, and they can explain the RM in detail so you can determine if it's the right loan for you.. Also understand that part of the approval process requires you attend mandatory counseling.. FHA wants to be completely sure you have a full understanding of how a RM works, and to be sure your lender has not lied to you or left any important details/facts out..
