How much loan can I get with a 50k down?
I have no idea about buying a house. What do I need to do to get a loan? I am self employed and part owner of a building company. My credit scores are good and have set aside $50k for a down payment. Much more info is needed to determine what you affordability is. Also you need to take into account funds needed for closing costs. I highly recommend consulting with a local lender to get started. Lender can inform you of the process and what to expect as well as determine what you qualify for. I would recommend staying away from Retail banks..such as Wells, Chase, BofA..etc. Look for a local mortgage banker.
