How far in advance can you get pre-qualfied before you purchase a home?

You can get pre approved now based on your current income and job. Once you locate the property and have secured the contract, we will simply need updated income information to get you a formal approval. There is no time-frame for a pre-qual. As the other poster said all qualifying info will have to be updated when you make formal application. A pre-qual is not a loan approval. approval can only be made when a property is actually located and an address and application is made.
