how do i go about a rapid rescore and is there a cost associated?

You won't be the one doing the Re-Score. It will be your lender. Talk to your Realtor, to find a great lender in your area that can walk you through this. There will be a cost to you, but not much compared to the savings you will likely see from the higher score.
