Are application fees charged upfront?

Hi, this is my first time applying for a loan and I was wondering why an application fee is being charged upfront? The fee is $395 and non-refundable if we don’t close. It gets credited after closing though, is this normal? by jwarren532 from Garden City, Kansas. May 26th 2022 Reply
