I would suggest that you contact a broker in Oregon, someone who knows the rule and regulation of that state.

I always suggest you contact a broker local to the area your purchasing in.. Not only are the rules and laws different, but each state has some intricacies that only the local guy would know.. using someone local will help your transaction go much more smooth... I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. William J. In the end it is always good to work with a local lender, you could start the process with a lender in your current market and have them refer you to a local officer. I am an Oregon lender if you would like a second opinion on your pre-qualification.Derick Condrondcondron@rightstartmortgage.com503-510-8290

I have to agree with the answers recommending you check with someone in Oregon if you do not have someone you trust and know in CA already doing loans in Oregon. if they have been regularly doing loans in Oregon too, there is no reason they should not do a good job for you. You can always competitive shop with someone in Oregon, perhaps recommended by your realtor, and compare rates/pricing. I used to do loans from CA in both Oregon and Washington and had no problems, though mainly refinancing. However, in purchasing, if not someone you can really trust in CA maybe you wish to get a competent mortgage broker/banker in Oregon.
