Applying for a loan with multiple hard inquiries?

Can you get approved for a mortgage if you have numerous hard inquiries? I got a new car and have a couple of new credit cards. I got approved for a loan 3 months ago and I’m planning to apply again but I am wary about the inquiries. I have a mid-credit score of 645 and an income of $120k a year. by johndt211 from Phoenix, Arizona. Aug 17th 2022 Reply

The inquiries are not the issue. If anything damaged your score it is likely the new car and credit cards. Your credit score is a measurement of risk. Each time you inquire and open a new piece of credit you increase your 'risk potential', which reduces your scores. It can take 3-6 months of prudent use of these new accounts before the positive payment history, or in the case of revolving cards, the usage and payment history reflect positively enough to reduce the hit from the new account(s). The smartest thing to do, would be to reach out to me to start the application process with a soft pull credit report. This would allow me to show you what steps you can take to get your scores higher. You tend to get better pricing when your scores are higher. ~ Bert Carpenter, The LoansA2z Team of NEXA Mortgage ~ NMLS 40586 ~ Certified Mortgage Advisor and Certified by The National Association of Mortgage Professionals as a Certified Veterans Lending Specialist.NEXA is licensed in all states except MA and NY so give us a call. ~ www.LoansA2z.com 480-889-9000 - OR - 480-695-9300.
