After serving in the US Navy as an Operations Specialist during the Desert Storm and Desert Shield conflicts in the Persian Gulf, I joined a Caterpillar Equipment franchise and sold emergency power and prime power electrical installations for hotels and retail establishments throughout the Western Pacific. After moving to Hawaii in the early 2000's, I made the decision to leave corporate sales and began selling residential real estate on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. I believe my years of corporate negotiations gave me an edge in the highly competitive- at the time- Hawaiian real estate market. Having been born and raised in Texas, my roots were calling me back; and after short time in Hawaii, my wife Cecilia and I moved to Austin, where I had grown up. After seven years as a licensed real estate agent in the Austin market it was time for a change. Having worked with many loan officers over the years, I had seen a huge swings in customer service and communication with the Realtor and client during the loan process. I saw how frustrating the process was for them.

As a licensed loan officer I feel that keeping all parties informed on a regular basis has been the key to successful and on-time closings; and most importantly, when clients have a enjoyable experience, they refer others to our services. Having been in all three positions (Realtor, Loan Applicant, and Loan Officer), I believe it gives me an insight on what is expected and needed to achieve a successful on-time close.
